The bolt is a very important part of the rivet gun. Therefore, the bolt must be installed when using the rivet gun. However, because of improper operation or ignorance of product components, some people often appear in the bolt installation process. For the problem, the editor of Shanghai Huiyu Electronics briefly introduces the problems, causes and troubleshooting methods that occurred during the bolt installation process.
1. The bolts and nuts cannot be tightened
   Reason: There is a gap between the workpieces or the polished rod of the bolt is exposed to the surface of the workpiece. The thickness of the washer is not enough;
   Solution: Tighten the gap after removing the workpiece, replace the bolt or thickened washer and then tighten;
2. There is a gap between the bolt head, nut and the workpiece
   Causes: not tightened, the polished bolt part of the bolt is long, and the center of the screw hole is not perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece, resulting in a single-sided gap;
   Solution: Tighten, replace bolts or thick washers, allow the workpiece to file flat or add oblique washers, expand the hole diameter, and increase the bolt diameter (repairing of bolt heads or nuts is not allowed);
3. The bolt is broken or tripped
   Cause: The tightening torque is too large, exceeding the maximum allowable tightening torque, the bolts, nuts, and threads are not aligned or the pitch does not meet the tightening requirements;
   Solution: Replace the bolts, control the tightening torque, replace the bolts and nuts and re-tighten;
4. The head of the countersunk bolt protrudes from the surface of the workpiece out of tolerance
   Cause: The depth of the hole is not enough, and the center line of the hole is not concentric with the center line of the hole;
   Solution: Replace the nest drill, re-set the nest to the qualified depth, increase the bolt, and re-set the nest;
5. Bolt with hexagon head and diamond corner rounding
   Cause: The wrong or worn wrench is selected, the selected socket wrench is not put in place, and the contact with the hexagonal head is small, resulting in sliding;
   Solution: Replace the bolt, select the appropriate wrench, replace the bolt, and the socket wrench should be in place when tightening;
6. Unqualified constant torque
   Cause: The tightening torque is too large or too small, the fixed-force wrench is used incorrectly, after the fixed force, the cotter pin position is unqualified and the torque is changed;
   Solution: Determine the force according to the given torque value in the drawing, and use a fixed-force wrench according to the relevant regulations. When determining the force, consider the    position of the split pin or replace the washer;
7. The self-locking nut fails
   Cause: Too many times of disassembly of the self-locking nut or the locking part of the self-locking nut is defective;
   Solution: replace the nut;
8. Split pin activity
   Cause: The diameter of the cotter pin selected is different from the hole diameter of the bolt cotter pin. When the cotter pin is installed, the round head is not tight, and it is not pressed or buckled in the nut groove when bending;
   Solution: Replace the cotter pin, re-tighten, replace the cotter pin, and tighten the cotter pin correctly.
